The “Elephant Nature Park” near Chiang Mai, Thailand rehabilitates physically and psychologically injured elephants and treats them with the great care and respect they deserve.
Unfortunately, this is not the case with many of the elephants in Thailand.
Here I am having a great time feeding an elephant. I forget the exact amount they eat per day but it was something around twice my body weight. Imagine how much they must poop. Yikes!

Ok Ryan … I had to post here because, as you’ve probably learned from working with and getting to know me .. I’m a HUGE Animal LOVER!!
Totally Jealous Here !! Even if their trunk is just a Big Nose !! Who Cares !! Wash and/or use Sanitizer on your hands afterwards .. lol !!
This is a special, genuine life experience - that some may not be able to experience - Did I mention I was jealous? .. lol
Karen
It’s amazing what they can do with that Big Nose Karen is talking about. They eat, drink, communicate, pick things up and carry them, bath themselves, etc. I’m sure I’m leaving out a lot here. I heard their trunks have hundreds, maybe thousands, of muscles. I forget how many. I think it’s more than the entire human body.
Hi Karen…You can come here and have this experience, and many more like them. Set your intention, put a date in the calendar, then get creative about making it happen. In essence, that is all I did. I didn’t know how I would make it work when I first scheduled it. The practical part came later. I ended up liking it so much after my month-long visit, that I decided to move here for six months and work from Thailand.
Yes, KUDOS to You Ryan !!
It’s AMAZING what you can achieve if you put your mind to it, want it, focus on it and have support in getting to it.
