Great bat video. Amazing that he let you get so close. I was 'charmed' by the flying foxes, the fruit bats in Fiji and Sydney. They rest in the treetops and groom or nap all day, stretching their sizable wings and swooping out at dusk. In Sydney huge swarms exit the park near the iconic Opera House at night to feed. Didn't see it but watched them - amazingly, right down town too...along with flocks of wild green parrots and the Sacred Ibises pecking around much like pigeons do in New York. Looking forward to more of your adventures!

This post is to Nok .. lol

I can relate to you with the "screaming like a girl" ..

When we were in Mexico a very large beetle felt the need to fly into our bedroom, hit the ceiling fan and fell ... where ... we did not know .. but both me and my b/f ... in perfect unison, flipped the covers over our heads .. and I would describe the sounds coming out of him as "squealing" ...

and we then continued and argued over who would "peek out" of the covers to see where it landed and get rid of it ... lol
